Tall Ships in Drayton Harbor

Awesome!
It's that time of year again! Went down to the harbor to see the Tall Ship today and dragged one of my neighbors with me as she is a recent resident and hasn't seen this. The Lady Washington isn't here this year - only The Hawaiian Chieftain. http://blainechamber.com/images/pdf/DHD_Schedule.pdf

I was down there today (working with the Whatcom Democrats). It was way too hot for me. I'm not volunteering to work the booth at the fair.

Good to hear from you. Too hot for me, too. Been hunkered down inside most of the day. Contemplating going over to the Peace Arch to see the dance performance since it has cooled off, now.

My neighbor and I stopped to chat at the Dem booth yesterday. I asked her what is the big deal about enforced insurance since every state in the union has mandatory auto insurance laws. She said she never thought of it that way. Still not sure.

Yes, that's a good point. It was pretty quiet when I was there - lots of Canadians and only a few people who were interested enough to stop and talk.
